About Jed’s Marathon Auction

Jed’s Marathon Auction is a charity auction raising money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) ahead of Jed’s run in the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.
Who runs it
The auction is run by James “Jed” Heald, a sole proprietor based in New York, NY. It is a personal fundraiser; it is not operated by MSK or Fred’s Team.
What’s sold
Friends, family and supporters donate items and experiences, such as dinners, lessons, gear, art and outings. Each one is listed as a lot on the auction home page with a description, opening bid and closing time. Anyone can browse lots without an account.
How payment works
Bidders sign in with a US mobile number and bid in $5 steps. When the auction closes, each winner pays by donating the winning amount directly to MSK through Jed’s official fundraising page, then submits the donation receipt on this site. This site never processes payments or card details.
Optional text alerts
Bidders and contributors can opt in to optional text alerts (outbid notices, closing reminders, winner/payment info and lot updates). See text alerts, our Terms and our Privacy Policy.
